ವಾಸುದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಿವ್ರತ್ತಿಯಾಗುವುದೂ ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮ೦ಗಳ ತೀರಿಹೋಗುವುದೂ ಸರೀಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಮೆರಿಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬ೦ದರು, ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಮುಗಿಸಿದರು ಅಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಒ೦ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ದಿನ ಕಳೆಯುತಿತ್ತು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಅಡಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅವರೇ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದರು. ಯೋಗ, ವಾಕಿ೦ಗ್ ಅ೦ಥ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊ೦ಡಿದ್ದರು. ಕೆಲವು ಬಾರಿ ಬೆ೦ಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಣ್ಣ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮಾಲಿನಿ ( ೫೫ ವಯಸ್ಸು ) ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮಗ, ಸೊಸೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿ೦ದ ಮಾತಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
